Identifikasi Faktor Risiko Keratitis pada Pengguna Lensa Kontak

Pendahuluan: Lensa kontak merupakan alat artifisial yang digunakan secara langsung pada permukaan kornea untuk mengoreksi gangguan refraksi. Keratitis mikroba (microbial keratitis / MK) terkait penggunaan kontak lensa (contact lens-associated microbial keratitis / CLMK) adalah penyakit akibat penggunaan lensa kontak yang berpotensi mengancam penglihatan.
Metode: Pencarian literatur menggunakan database PubMed/Medline, Google scholar dan Web of Science dengan batasan publikasi maksimal 10 tahun terakhir. Kriteria inklusi adalah jurnal kedokteran dengan pengguna lensa kontak dan jurnal yang berkaitan dengan keratitis. Kriteria eksklusi yaitu jurnal dengan bahasa selain bahasa indonesia atau bahasa inggris dan pasien yang telah melakukan prosedur invasif pada mata, pasien dengan penyakit sistemik, atau kehamilan.
Hasil: Systematic review ini menganalisis data dari 5 studi case-control dan cross sectional terkait identifikasi faktor risiko keratitis mikroba pada pengguna lensa kontak. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan menyertakan beberapa odds ratio (OR), confidence interval (CI), dan nilai p yang dilaporkan dalam masing-masing jurnal untuk menentukan kekuatan hubungan antar faktor risiko yang diidentifikasi pada jurnal tersebut.
Kesimpulan: Didapatkan bahwa faktor risiko utama CLMK meliputi penggunaan lensa kontak melewati waktu penggantian, penggunaan berlebihan (termasuk saat tidur), aktivitas mandi atau berenang dengan lensa kontak, ketidakpatuhan terhadap prosedur perawatan lensa, serta penggunaan larutan pembersih yang tidak sesuai rekomendasi.
